It’s not exactly content for Star Trek Minutiae, but I recently finished a huge project: The Starfleet Museum: The Print Edition. It’s a 286-page, full-color book with (almost) every article from Masao Okazaki’s Starfleet Museum. It’s available to order from Lulu.com (for the cost of printing, with no profit markup). I also have a short summary of how the book developed over the years.

Series ? gets back on track... or is that off track...? Or... now I’m confused. Anyway, it’s not one, but two new episodes! Episode 146: “Gary 007” and Episode 147: “The Parody Cares Not for the Source Material’s Cry, Part I”.
(No, you don’t get any points for guessing what either of those episodes are about.)

As usual, I spend months leaving the site alone, and the first thing I do when I return is tinker with the site design! This time, I've made some improvements to the title banners, using the new
<picture> element to display better-proportioned images on phones and other narrow displays.

I found some great source material for some of the ships featured in my favorite new series**, The Expanse. Check out the additions to the starship size comparison chart.
(To paraphrase Julian Bashir: I love Star Trek, I just like those other shows more.)

I’ve added the USS Franklin, the swarm ships, and Starbase Yorktown from Star Trek Beyond to the starship size comparison charts.
Also, from deep in the backup discs of my old computers, I’ve dug up the old Star Trek: Renaissance Chronology.

I’ve spent the last few weeks tinkering with the style sheets again, making some changes to the thumbnails and images across the whole site. Thumbnails for many images are much larger than before, and the index pages of the major sub-sections now feature larger buttons to make it easier to navigate. And the home page now has a list of the most popular or interesting sub-sections, to make it easier for new visitors to discover different parts of the site.

I've been a little busy lately... not with creating stuff for the website, exactly, but something far more exciting. About a year ago, Harry Doddema and I were contacted by Simon Pegg. Yes, that Simon Pegg! Here's the story of how we created vokaya for Star Trek Beyond.

It’s been a while again, hasn't it?
Star Trek Beyond comes out in just a couple days, and I’ve got a pretty exciting story to tell! But not just yet. Before Beyond comes out, I thought it would be appropriate to record my thoughts about the Kelvin Timeline movies thus far.
(And as I said on Twitter, dedication is updating your blog manually, one page at a time, when the blogging software decides to stop working. The pages themselves should be fine... I’ll get it fixed next week when the excitement dies down.)

How’s this for a surprise Christmas present? It’s another episode of Star Trek: Series ? — a familiar-ish face is running for Federation President in Episode 145: “Revenge of the Singh”!

I can't stop tweaking the site styles! I've learned more about how to assign custom fonts using CSS, so I've chosen a new body font instead of boring old Helvetica or Arial. And it should be compatible with (some) older browsers, too.
